Antioxidants and Laryngeal Cancer

This WisdomCard managed by: Nicole Kinsey

Antioxidants are known to fight against cancer-causing free radicals in the human body. Research reveals that antioxidants present in fruits, vegetables, and grains may reduce the risk of developing cancer of the larynx. This type of cancer is listed as a 'rare disease'; however, prevention is still the best defense as there are 12,500 new cases of laryngeal cancer diagnosed in the United States annually.
