Research Notes on Antibiotic Therapy for Osteoarthritis
Common treatments for osteoarthritis address the need for pain relief, reduction of joint inflammation, and maintenance of joint integrity. Researchers are now working on drugs to slow down the progression of the disease, one of these is antibiotics. Antibiotics are known to fight infection, today it is also said that it can decrease inflammation and is now used to reduce joint swelling for patients with osteoarthritis.
