Research Notes on Ansaid Drug Interactions
Because Ansaid (flurbiprofen) has the potential to interact with a number of medicines, you should speak to your health care provider about any prescription or over-the-counter drugs you are currently taking. Some medications that may interact with Ansaid include NSAIDs, aspirin, blood thinners, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, and methotrexate. These interactions can have an impact on the effectiveness of this medication, or may cause dangerous outcomes.1

- Ansaid should not be used in patients with kidney disease.2
- Ansaid may be used to treat joint pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.2
- Some possible side effects you may experience while using Ansaid include constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, gas, headaches, heartburn, nausea, upset stomach, and dry mouth.2
