Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is an inflammatory disease with primary symptoms of pain and progressive stiffness. AS causes inflammation at the points where ligaments and tendons attach to bone around a joint. These points consequently calcify, causing pain and lack of functionality at the joints.1
