Angiosarcoma

Research Notes on Angiosarcoma

Angiosarcomas are rare malignant (cancerous) sarcomas originating in the cells lining blood vessels. Angiosarcomas can occur anywhere in the body, although they are most commonly located in the skin, breast, liver, and deep tissue. Cutaneous angiosarcomas -- angiosarcomas of the skin -- are commonly found on the face and scalp; approximately 60% of angiosarcomas are cutaneous.
