Research Notes on Androgen Deprivation Therapy May Affect Cognitive Function
A new review of androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer shows that up to 69 percent of men receiving this therapy will experience cognitive impairment to some degree. Researchers from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center reviewed 19 studies involving both humans and animals. Processes pertaining to spatial ability and high-order abilities were affected.
