Research Notes on Anabolic Steroids
Anabolic steroids are a class of steroid hormones related to the hormone testosterone. Their effects include building muscle, lowering voice tone and triggering irritability and depression. The use of anabolic steroids has been banned in all major sporting leagues, and illegal steroid use is known to be a problem among high-school athletes of both sexes.
