Amoxapine (brand-names Asendin, Asendis, Defanyl, Demolox, Moxadil) is a tricyclic antidepressant of the dibenzoxazepine class. It is used in the treatment of depression, panic disorders and bipolar disorder. - Amoxapine is absorbed rapidly and reaches peak blood levels inapproximately 90 minutes after ingestion.1
- Amoxapine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken one or more times a day.2
