The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is an organization that has been in existence since 1947.1 They are dedicated to improving job performance and broadening the scope of knowledge for its members.1 It is the only professional society for respiratory therapists in hospitals and with home care companies, educators who provide respiratory care training and managers of respiratory and cardiopulmonary services.1
