Research Notes on Alzheimer's Patients and Antipsychotics
According to a new study, antipsychotics put people with Alzheimer's disease at risk of death. Currently, doctors are prescribing antipsychotics for thousands of patients suffering from Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is a degenerative disease which has no known cure.1

- This study involved over 160 patients in a nursing home setting who were currently taking antipsychotics.2
- Study findings revealed a significant increase in the risk of death for patients who continue these medications.2
