Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a degenerative and terminal disease wherein there is memory loss. The disease course is divided into four stages (predementia, early dementia, moderate dementia, and advance), with a progressive pattern of cognitive and functional impairment expressed from one stage to the next and during each stage. Research indicates that the disease is associated with plaques and tangles in the brain. As the disease advances, progressive symptoms include confusion, anger, mood swings, language breakdown, long-term memory loss, and the general withdrawal of the sufferer as his senses decline. ...read more from Wikipedia
