Alli is a non-prescription drug used to help with weight loss. It contains a lower than prescription strength dosage of orlistat.1 Alli is intended to be used with a reduced calorie diet plan and regular exercise. It works by reducing the absorption of fat by the intestines, thereby reducing the number of calories absorbed. Side effects include gas with an oily discharge, diarrhea, more frequent bowel movements, and hard to control bowel movements.1
