An allergic reaction is the body's way of reacting to a foreign substance, called an antigen. The immune system is triggered when it senses an antigen. Allergic reactions vary from person to person and depends on the severity of the allergy. There are many possible reactions that can includes hives, wheezing, itching or watery eyes, swelling of the tongue, lips or throat.1
