Research Notes on Alcohol and Snoring
Alcohol can cause snoring; as it depresses the central nervous system which causes the muscles to relax, as well as the throat tissues. Alcohol can also impair the brains ability to arouse a person to breathe again, if a person has obstructive sleep apnea.
