Research Notes on Alcohol Hand Rub
Alcohol hand rub or alcohol hand sanitizer is an alternative to washing hands with soap and water. Use about a half a teaspoon of the hand rub in the palm of your hand. Then you rub your hands together covering all surfaces of your hand until they are dry. Alcohol content of the rub must be at sixty percent to be effective in killing germs.1 Washing hands or using alcohol hand rub may help reduce the spread of colds and viruses.
