Some people are more sensitive to the effects of alcohol. Alcohol allergy is very rare and should not be mistaken as an allergic reaction. One may just be allergic to certain ingredients in alcoholic beverages that cause flushing or rashes, which are more often than not due to alcohol intolerance and not true food allergy.
