Research Notes on Advanced Ovarian Cancer and Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy, also known as radiation therapy, is a cancer treatment that uses high-energy x-rays or other types of radiation to kill cancer cells or keep them from growing in patients with advanced ovarian cancer. There are two different types of radiation therapy offered. The stage of cancer that is being treated determines which type of radiation a patient will receive.1
