Loss of appetite is a side effect reported as a result of using some adult ADHD medications, especially stimulants. If weight loss becomes a problem, try eating three or four smaller meals during the day or later at night. Other common side effects from adult ADHD medications include: insomnia, nausea, headache, dry mouth, irritability, mood swings, and tics.
