Research Notes on Adipex and Weight Loss
Adipex (phentermine) is a short-term weight loss medication. Adipex works by suppressing your appetite, and possibly increasing metabolism.1 Used in conjunction with diet and exercise, Adipex has been shown to be effective in helping people to lose weight.2 Adipex also helps to decrease the risk of developing high blood pressure and diabetes.1
Fast Facts:
- Adipex should not be used if you have heart disease, glaucoma, or an overactive thyroid.2
- Side effects of using Adipex include chest pain, diarrhea, and itching.1
- Most people only lose weight the first few weeks of using Adipex.
