Research Notes on Addison's Disease Symptoms
Symptoms of Addison's disease usually appear slowly. Typical symptoms are fatigue, muscle weakness, weight loss and loss of appetite. Other symptoms may include hyperpigmentation, lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, craving for salty foods, and depression.1

- If the adrenal glands are destroyed, symptoms can come on suddenly.1
- Symptoms usually become noticeable when an adrenal crisis is brought on by a stressful event.1
- Several other illnesses can have symptoms similar to those of Addison's disease.1
