Research Notes on Adderall and Weight Loss
Weight loss is one of the most common side effects reported by patients. Adderall is classified as a central nervous system stimulant and prescribed to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. Clinical studies reported weight loss occurred in four percent of children and nine percent of teenagers.1 Substance abuse may occur while using Adderall because of the potential to lose weight.
