Acute Gastroenteritis has the same symptoms as gastroenteritis on its initial stage or onset, such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain accompanied with mild fever. The most common cause of acute gastroenteritis is Rotavirus, which is viral. Gastroenterities is a self-limiting disease, but an optimal fluid management is necessary to minimize the risk of dehydration and its adverse outcomes.
