Research Notes on Acuprin 81 Side Effects
Like most medications, Acuprin 81 (aspirin), may cause side effects. An upset stomach, headache, heartburn, and drowsiness are common side effects of this medication. If you begin to have hearing problems, swelling, severe nausea, fever, or bloody stool, contact your doctor immediately.1

- Certain drugs interact with Acuprin 81, such as blood thinners (warfarin) and other salicylates (Mobidin, Trilisate, Doan's, or Tricosal).1
- This medication is used to relieve pain and reduce fever.2
- It is also used to reduce the chance of a stroke, heart attack, and other conditions caused by blood clots.2
