Research Notes on Acidobacteria
Acidobacteria is a devised phylum of bacteria, recognized as a novel division in 1997.1 Abundant within soils the large majority have not been cultured.1 Although their ecology and metabolism are not well understood, these bacteria may be an important contributor to ecosystems.1
