Research Notes on Achondroplasia
Achondroplasia, usually acquired as the result of a genetic mutation, results in short stature, with a large head and disproportionately short arms and legs. Intelligence and lifespan are usually normal, though people with this condition may be prone to spinal stenosis and sleep apnea.
