The use of alcohol while taking acetaminophen is highly discouraged because of possible liver damage. Concurrent use of acetaminophen and alcohol have been known to cause liver failure especially in chronic alcohol drinkers. Physicians will recommended to avoid the use of alcohol during treatment with acetaminophen to prevent possible liver complications.
