Research Notes on Abuse Linked to Asthma in Children
Brigham and Women's Hospital has released a study that reveals, children who have suffered from abuse have a higher chance of developing asthma, than those who aren't. Researchers feel the problem lies in a hormone called cortisol. This hormone reduces inflammation but it is depleted when a child is abused.
