Discontinuing Abilify (generic name: aripiprazole) abruptly may cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Hallucinations, delusions, mania, depression, and insomnia are symptoms of withdrawing from Abilify. Weaning from this drug slowly may help to avoid severe withdrawal symptoms.1
