Research Notes on Abatacept Overdose
Symptoms of an abatacept overdose are unknown. This is a prescription drug that is administered via IV, and can be given by a nurse or physician. If you do suspect an overdose of abatacept, seek medical attention immediately.1
Fast Facts:
- Abatacept -- marketed as Orencia -- is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis or to slow joint damage.1
- It takes a minimum of 30 minutes to administer a full dose of abatacept.2
- In the first month of treatment, abatacept is given every 2 weeks.2
- After the first month of treatment, abatacept is given every 4 weeks.2
- The exact dosage is based on your body weight.2
