Research Notes on ADHD and GABA
GABA is a supplement that some have found helpful with ADD/ADHD.1 Brain scans have revealed that children with hyperactive ADHD have lower than normal levels of GABA, a chemical that has inhibitory properties in the brain.2 Be sure to consult with your or your child's physician before trying any supplements to treat ADHD. At this time there are few resources on GABA for ADHD that meet our quality standards.
