Research Notes on ADHD and Academic Failure
Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have marked inattention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness that often results in school failure.1 History of academic failure is now included in the diagnostic criteria for ADHD.2 Early diagnosis and treatment are important to help the child cope in school and achieve an optimum level of learning.3

- Approximately fifty percent of kids repeat a grade by adolescence.5
