Research Notes on ADHD Symptom Quiz
When a parent or physician suspects a child may have ADHD, they sometimes use a quiz or checklist as a starting point.1 The quiz may ask a series of questions concerning relationships with family and friends.2 The test primarily considers a six-month period prior to testing.3 Although the test is useful for parents who are concerned that their children may have ADHD, it is by no means an accurate way of diagnosing a child.1
Fast Facts:
- It is very important to answer each question honestly.
- The quiz results should be shared with the child's physician.
- The quiz gauges such things as whether your child can remain sitted for a period of time without fidgeting and their work habits.
