Research Notes on ADHD Organizations
ADHD organizations exist to research, support, educate, and advocate for the condition. The leading American organization is Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), which was formed to help both children and adults who have ADHD.1 There are also organizations specific to providing support and information about adult ADHD alone.2
Fast Facts:
- ADHD is one of the well-known disabilities during childhood.3
- Boys are more likely to have ADHD than girls.4
- Adults are often not diagnosed or treated for ADHD.3
