St. John's Wort, one of the most commonly purchased herbal drugs in the United States, has been proven to work no better than a placebo in treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD). Over 50 children were chosen for the study, half of whom were given a placebo, and the other half St. John's Wort. The ages of the children ranged from 6 to 17 years old.
