Research Notes on ADHD Drugs Linked to Sudden Death
New research reveals that stimulants commonly prescribed for children with ADHD may increase the risk of sudden unexplained death. Amphetamines, which are among the highest prescribed medications for children, raise blood pressure and increase the heart rate. As with all medications, the risks versus benefits should be weighed before starting any treatment.1

- It is believed that more than 2.5 million adolescents are on stimulants to control their ADHD.2
