Research Notes on ACTH for Epilepsy
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent unprovoked seizures. Infantile spasms (West syndrome) is a type of epilepsy syndrome that affects infants with developmental brain abnormalities. Anti-seizure medications often do not work for infantile spasms, but it can be treated with ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone).
