Research Notes on A-Methapred Side Effects
The most commonly reported side effects associated with the use of A-Methapred include dizziness, weight gain, appetite loss, and nausea. More serious side effects that should be reported to your physician include tarry stools, chronic sore throat, vomiting, trouble breathing, and muscle weakness.1 For a complete list of side effects associated with the use of A-Methapred, see the following links below.

- A-Methapred (methylprednisolone) is given by injection to treat inflammation of the skin, lungs, and joints associated with asthma, allergies, and arthritis.2
- Other side effects that should be reported to your physician include back pain, increased thirst, irregular heartbeat, fever, and any sign of an allergic reaction.2
- A-Methapred also increases the risk for certain infections.2
