This diet has been around for several years and has assumed a variety of different names.1 The 3 day cardiac diet claims if you follow a strict menu for three days, then you eat normal for four days and then back to the 3 day diet plan, you can decrease your weight by about forty pounds within a month.2 It is always recommended that first speak with your physician before starting any diet.
